Saltwick is a beautifully presented four-bedroom home, comfortably sleeping up to 7 guests, with an occasional bed available for an 8th person. Designed with style and comfort in mind, the house features two elegant en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, along with a spacious family bathroom offering both a bath and separate shower.

Downstairs, you'll find a stunning open-plan kitchen and dining area, ideal for entertaining or family meals, alongside a generous lounge and a convenient downstairs WC. Large bi-fold doors open onto a fully enclosed garden — perfect for relaxing or socialising. The outdoor area includes ample seating and optional access to a luxurious hot tub (available at an additional charge – see rates for details).

Idyllic Location

Saltwick is located in the charming village of Briggswath, just outside Sleights, on the edge of the breathtaking North York Moors National Park. Nestled in the heart of the Esk Valley, the house is only three miles from the vibrant seaside town of Whitby, making it the perfect base for exploring the coast and countryside.

Within walking distance, you'll find traditional pubs, the delightful Radford's butchers, Botham's bakery, a fish and chip shop, convenience store, and an antiques centre – everything you need for a truly local experience.

Things to Do Nearby

A short stroll takes you to the village of Ruswarp, where you can spend a peaceful afternoon rowing or kayaking on the river. Or, for a more indulgent experience, enjoy a glass of champagne on the sun-deck at the newly opened Waterside restaurant.

If you prefer a more relaxed pace, Perry's Riverside Café offers seasonal afternoon tea by the river, or you can savour a hearty pub lunch at one of the nearby local inns.

To secure your booking, we require a 30% deposit, with the remaining balance due eight weeks prior to arrival. A refundable security deposit is also required before your stay and will be returned within 7 days of departure, provided no damage occurs.
